IMPORTANT!" Being
important is a natural outgrowth of consciousness.
For sensing importance is an automatic function
of consciousness. And you cannot be conscious
and sense importance without also being important...
or at least seeming to be important... at
least to yourself.
Being
important... seeming to be important... is
the natural state of conscious life. Being
important is not only the natural conscious
state of being alive; being important is knowing
you are alive... and that life is important!
To
pretend to be unimportant... to say you are
unimportant... is false modesty, deception
and self-deception. All humility is false
for the most part. It is all a vain and dishonest
attempt to be important without risking incurring
the wrath of others by appearing to be trying
to be more important than others.
